MasjidSpot ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Masjid data you enter (names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, and notes) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and optionally synced to iCloud if you are signed in to an Apple ID and have iCloud Drive enabled.
When you browse community masajid or use the map, your device may fetch publicly available records from our CloudKit public database. No personal account is required for this.
With your permission, the app accesses your device's location to show nearby masajid, search external map providers for nearby places, and provide directions. When you use these features, your device may send an approximate search area or destination to Apple Maps or Google Maps. MasjidSpot does not store your location on our servers.
If you choose to sync your data via iCloud, Apple handles the encryption and storage of that data in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your private iCloud data.
Masjid records you contribute to the Browse or Map tabs are stored in a CloudKit public database. Information you submit there (name, address, photo, etc.) is visible to all app users. Do not submit personally identifiable information in those fields.
MasjidSpot does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks. We do not sell or rent your personal data. Apple Maps and Google Maps may process map searches or directions requests when you choose to use those features, subject to their privacy policies.
Your local masjid records remain on your device until you delete them. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Community records you submitted to the public database can be deleted from within the app.
MasjidSpot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
